Is it worth registering a hack domain in the .am zone like instagr.am?

The issue of compiling a branded domain name from regional ones is tormenting - what is interesting - in all projects (youtu.be shar.es instagr.am, etc.) redirects to the main domain are performed.
I have not launched the site yet, but the name ends with am, is it worth spending money on buying a domain in this zone? Write such a website address on business cards, in advertising - and in general, where is it?
The theme of the portal is information city (announcement, etc.)

I think it's purely psychological.
If these are city ads, then the name of the site should be as simple and conventional as possible. Any .museum and other .am will frighten some old women, leaving the feeling that part of the address was not printed. Just like Viktor Savchenko , they are always tuned in to the same wave (the site name should start with double-double-double, and end with .ru!) and all sorts of frills will only lead them into a stupor.
On the other hand, the old women will write the site address in the Rambler search bar, and he will figure out which domain is correct.
But in general, I would not show off. In addition, fancy aliases appeared on the corresponding sites after promotion, and not before launch.
From a purely technical point of view, tarar.am is completely equivalent to tararam.ru

If not busy, then I see no reason why you can't do it. But if Instagram itself takes over you, then you won’t win =) Therefore, the advice is not worth it.

You can register, but it seems that people from a number of those who use it will not understand the joke, because. used to hearing "website.RU", then .rf is better
