Is it worth learning Java after EE development stops?

I decided to start learning java, but I came across this article habrahabr.ru/post/304812, which alerted me. Is it worth it to learn Java at all or start programming in another language?

For starters: Java != Java EE. The termination of Java EE development by Oracle will not affect the life of the programming language itself. There are generally doubts that Oracle will decide to take this step, because. they themselves have a large number of projects developed in Java EE.
Plus, it's worth remembering that Java EE is a set of specifications, not a concrete implementation. Java EE consists of a bunch of JSRs that are discussed and accepted by the JCP (Java Community Process), that is, a community that, in addition to Oracle itself, includes Red Hat, IBM, Spring, Apache, and many others. Oracle can simply hand over control of Java EE to the community. And yes, new JSRs are coming out regardless of Java EE.
And it is worth remembering that the Java EE enterprise does not end there, because there is also Spring, which develops much faster and occupies a significant niche in the market.
So, given the above, it’s definitely worth teaching if you want.

You can choose the language solely depending on your tasks, Java is not only Enterprise, but also Android, if you are going to write applications for Android, then study it.

It's strange that you still don't know him.
If something is covered up there, it will be like with PHP, which has been buried for more than a year.
And someone needs to maintain the old code.
