Is it worth it to open the source code of the project for its greater development and attracting users?

For 2.5 years I have been devoting all my free time to my project - a personal task manager (a view in the context of a week), and now the moment has come when there are a little more users than I can "process" as a programmer (writing new features, etc.).
There was an idea to make the source code open (the mobile application is already open source), which, perhaps, will attract new pull requests and, in general, the attractiveness of the project.
The main question is whether or not to open the code on Github , and related questions are:
1. What are the *negative* consequences? (besides that someone will raise a site with my code and be a competitor - I do not consider this)
2. What are the positive (other than the presence of new pull requests, perhaps) consequences? From any point of view, the question is interesting
3. What are some tips for moving forward after opening the source code?
I didn’t find in the rules if I can leave a link to my project here, but for those who are interested, see the account.

Of the minuses - someone can find bugs in the project code and use them in some negative way. But security through obscurity is a very unreliable thing, so the minus is rather weak.

Is it worth it? Briefly - it's almost pointless, if you don't want to be disappointed - don't open it. In detail - habrahabr.ru/post/268845
