Is it worth installing an SSD?

Hello. I have a simple old ASRock motherboard. It does not have SATA3 and AHCI. Should I install an SSD, or do I still have to purchase a new board with support for the latest technologies? Thanks in advance.

@jaxel

If there is SATA2, then you can safely install it. Get almost all the goodies, except for the maximum write / read speed, which rests on the speed of SATA2. The difference with SATA3 will be minimal.
