Is it worth going to work with Codeigniter?

I have 3 years experience with wordpress/woocomers. I would like to learn Laravel. There is an opportunity to go to work on Codeigniter, but I checked on the job search site, there is only one vacancy for Codeigniter :) In this regard, the question is, will working with Codeigniter give a plus in understanding / learning Laravel?
