Is it worth abandoning JS in mobile versions of the site?

Actually a subject. My partner generally has some kind of complex about the JS on the pages of the site, while he wants the site to look modern, motivating this by the fact that the scripts greatly affect the ranking in Google. Personally, I strongly doubt this, because in the tops of Google there are a lot of sites entirely and completely built on scripts. However, in principle, there is a reason for mobile versions, because. minimum JSA saves traffic for the phone. In return, usability suffers greatly. A bunch of transitions appear where there could be Ajax for example. So the question is, how generally expedient is this approach.

on the contrary, Ajax will save traffic. You just need to write in "pure" js
Ideally, use the HISTORY api in general

The mobile version of the site is a relic of the past. Mobile Internet costs a penny - users on YouTube watch videos via 3G, and you take care of the traffic from your site. We need to make one normal version that will look equally good on any device.
