Is it the responsibility of a web programmer to fill in the content?
Hi all !!!
I work as an intern in a large company. We were given a task on the frontend and on the backend, I completed everything together with the admin panel. Now it’s forbidden to fill in the content what I did, it wouldn’t be anything if it was filling in a small content, but there is a whole huge pile of everything and plus it needs to be filled in three languages. I know that there is such a separate profession of a content manager. I went to the company as a php programmer yii. But ....

I think the answer lies in the trainee
.
There is a special attitude towards the trainees and the main task is that they do not interfere, so you will be harnessed to do something just so that you do not annoy, and even more so in a large company.
In general, large companies are a special kind of work, where sometimes you need to pretend that you are working, and not really work. Probably, when accepting the task, you did not stipulate it, there is nothing to do, not in what time frame, and this is the main mistake. You had to ask by what deadline you need to complete or offer your deadline, not in order to have time to do it yourself, but so that the one who gave the task had time to invent and be ready to give you a new one.
And so you were given a task, you did it and it doesn’t matter how well, you can’t use it, you can’t spend normal resources on filling out content either, there are probably no other trainees for this, so they shoved this concern on you, because maybe the one who gave the task still wants not throw your site in the trash, but launch it on the network, and at the same time it will keep you busy for a while.
And how do we know, talk to the authorities. In general, it is not clear why it is useful to complain here, and not to the head.
ps They will say no here, you will tell the management that you will not make content. Did someone on the internet say that you don't have to do this?
But if you have already signed up for the development of the entire site, without first outlining the scope of your responsibilities, then you will have to do it. And let this be a lesson for the future.
If you are a cool specialist, then you are instructed to fill out the invoice for the company with content (except for the test one), you cost the company too much. But if the firm is small, then they simply do not have anyone to fill in the content. This should not worry you - if you are a super special, then you can take a super special at the rate of a trifling job.
The trainee, of course, is used as an errand boy.
The fact that you are forced to fill out content is only your fault.
The list of duties of a particular employee depends on job descriptions. Most likely, yours says something like "Employee is obliged to carry out blah blah blah, as well as other orders of the head, if this does not contradict the Law and the interests of the company."
