Is it still possible to advertise in a project from studio 2.2?

I have an old project that can't be translated to studio 3.5. I'm trying to place a banner in it, because traffic has gone, but it turns out that all the instructions are already for studios not lower than 3.2. It turns out that the old ones are no longer supported?
