Is it safe to use VPN for local data?
Good afternoon!
Given:
Personal computer - macbook.
To work, you need to connect to the company's Windows server, on which VPN is installed.
On a macbook, the vpn is configured by regular means of mac os (L2TP via IPSec), the checkbox "let all traffic through vpn" is unchecked.
With a VPN connected, access to the server via microsoft remote desktop for poppy, and work directly on the server via rdp.
Question: is there any danger to local data on a poppy when connecting such a vpn?
Can the server admin or any of the Wirth network users get access to local data (files on disk) or the ability to directly connect to a poppy to manage programs?

If the laptop is in the domain, then in theory yes. But I'm not sure how macos with domains works.
In general, this is a working laptop - what is the danger that the admin from work will get access to it?
