Is it right to start learning mobile app development with React Native?

Hello! I'm currently working on the web, mostly in Python. But then I want to move towards mobile phones. In general, I planned to start with Java - Android, but after digging in Google I began to think in the direction of Reat Native, because. firstly, cross-platform (yes, maybe only for simple applications, but I won’t start writing complex ones right away), and secondly, there is a growing tendency to shove JS wherever possible and I would like to have as many varied experiences as possible with it. In general, the question is this: if I have never developed mobile phones before, is it possible to start learning them with React, or is it still better with Java - Android?

Why try to sit on two chairs at once?
Choose a comfortable OS for yourself and write under it. Then you can switch to cross-platform solutions. And the tendency to shove js wherever possible can hardly be called good.
Each task has its own tools, otherwise why write the web in php, python, and mobile phones in java/swift? After all, you can use js everywhere. The answer is obvious, in my opinion.

Better immediately from mobile phones in React Native, otherwise in React you will be loaded with CSS, but there is no CSS in React Native, since there is no cascading, where instead JS styles are used for layout.
To understand whether React Native is right for you or not, I recommend my video course for beginners in React Native in Russian...
