Is it really better to write an intranet from scratch?
Good afternoon!
I currently work for a very large industrial company. There is a task to create an intranet. There are a lot of ready-made options.
Previously, Bitrix was chosen as the platform, since its functionality is completely satisfied: multi-departmental, calendars, workgroups, tasks, etc. There will also be modules that will need to be developed from scratch.
But, while studying the issue, I came across a post https://habrahabr.ru/post/282333/
As a result, the question is: Is it really better to develop such a system from scratch?
Thanks a lot.

An intranet is such a thing where it is better to hire a person / team on staff and do it. There are big doubts that it will be possible to order on the side.
Bitrix for such a development is ridiculous. Get a bunch of headaches and end up having to redo everything from scratch.
Giving development to a third-party team is also a dubious option. After a few million leaks and long deadlines, you will end up building your own team to support this product.
The best option is to hire a consultant and immediately hire your own team. Take a good modern framework as a basis and develop from scratch.

Is it really better to develop such a system from scratch?undoubtedly. because corporate-level systems are not written in Bitrix. enterprise-level systems MUST be written by a full-time team, in compliance with all standards and documentation specifically for the customer's Wishlist.
I have been making systems like this for the last 9 years and they do not require an internal support team at all. Project implementation from the first request and collection of initial requirements to the final version of the system takes from two months to one and a half years. The minimum cost is from 500 thousand rubles. At least one competent person in the state is enough who documents the system, is the entry point, knowledge repository and formalizes the requirements in the form of tickets. Each company is unique and there can be no one-size-fits-all solution. Symfony is the ideal platform for such tasks.
