Is it profitable to be a 1s Bitrix freelance developer?
I decided to go to 1c-Bitrix developers:
- convenient Cms
- good documentation, courses
- a full-fledged community
- a solvent client
But only one thing confused: there are vacancies for 1c Bitrix, but the salary is very low compared to other competing areas of development. They offer 50-80 thousand rubles in Moscow for a full time and still put forward a bunch of requirements for the developer, while in other offices you can easily find a better paid job in php, java, ios or other development languages.
Is it worth it to go into this direction with the intention of becoming a home web studio for the development of stores and portals, or is it better to choose something else, where there is more money?

In the Russian Federation, a low rate (and there is no Bitrix in Europe) on freelancing, there is not much money on Bitrix, everyone wants an online store on it for 10-15 thousand, and this is work for a month and a half. In general, you will have 30-40 thousand per month with an 8-10 hour working day, if you are a complete beginner, then less. If you try hard and be a pro in this business, then you can get 60-70, but it’s so fucked up.
Over time, all this will get boring, the tasks will all be of the same type: make a template, make a filter, upload a price list, make bundles with 1C, it doesn’t really happen anymore.
Another option is to make templates and sell them through the marketplace, but here I can’t say how much money.
It’s better to go to a company (preferably more, look at the Bitrix website rating in your city) that deals with Bitrix, there will be more salary than freelancing.
Not profitable: the sphere is relevant only in the CIS, and the money is on world-class exchanges.
Well, first of all, IOS is not a development language. :)
Secondly, while the employer puts forward additional requirements for the developer, in addition to knowledge of 1C, Java / PHP put forward no less stringent "requirements" for those who want to learn them.
I will share my experience. I have been a developer on the 1C Bitrix platform for more than 8 years (since 2008). The first 4 years he worked in companies, received as a novice developer around 30 tr., riveted websites, gained experience. Plus, he worked as a freelancer. At some point, I calculated that I could make more money by working myself and went into pure freelancing. Registered IP. At first there was a rate of 800 rubles / hour, then gradually increased. At first up to 1000r, at the moment 1200r/hour. Now in the laziest month, when I just break down to work, I get 40-60t.r. (work 2-3 hours a day). When I was not lazy, it came out 140 tr. But I am more often lazy, so the average is 70-80 tr. You need to work on yourself)) The Bitrix affiliate program also gives good bonuses to earnings, you can read about it on their website. You can also develop paid modules for the marketplace,
About clients. There was a fear, of course, that I would not find a job myself. At first I searched on freelance exchanges. Out of about five applications, one client responded and I worked with him. But now the work itself finds me)
Of course, if there are options to work for foreign companies for USD at the rates of developed countries, then you need to go there. 1C Bitrix is more than the CIS, they only promote their Bitrix24 over the hill - by the way, here is the opportunity to work for USD and at foreign rates.
