Is it possible to write an application for a smartphone to search for a specific WiFi network?
I would like to write an application with the following features:
The name of the Wi-Fi network gets into the application via the Internet.
The scanner should show how the scanner-compass-radar is the direction of the source of the Wi-Fi network name (i.e. access point).
Clarification: Is it possible to use the Wi-Fi signal level of a Network with a specific name to get the direction in which I need to move in order to find the installation location of the access point of the network with a given name.
Is it possible to do this only programmatically or do I need to create some additional device.
