Is it possible to work with VK API using Rest Assured?

on assignment, I need to implement my own utility for working with Vk Api (you can’t use ready-made solutions). Now I'm trying to choose a library with which I will access the API. I would like to know which one is best to use, I will also be grateful for any articles / guides for dummies when working specifically with the VK API in Java. (I haven't been able to find one yet)
