Is it possible to work for Odesk/Elance with a Russian portfolio?

Good afternoon, dear colleagues.
I would like to hear your opinion. Until now, he has worked almost exclusively for the Russian market, so almost all projects in the portfolio are Russian-language, without an English version. A couple of three have an English version, but these are not the best and not practical copies. I decided to try myself on foreign exchanges. Is it possible to somehow submit large, serious, but Russian-language projects to a foreign customer? Or will you have to build a portfolio from scratch?

If you are a designer, then everyone is on the side of what language your portfolio is in;
if you are not a designer, then the portfolio is far from the most important thing on clothing,
the most important thing is feedback

Judging by the "php" tag, you are a programmer, or something like that.
When I entered (at the beginning of 2013) the foreign market, I had a portfolio of sites that were all Russian. I just translated the description of the most worthy into English.
You just need to make an English description for the most interesting projects. It is unlikely that anyone will analyze them directly.
This situation applies to both Odesk and Elance. So just present the portfolio correctly, but the reviews will have to be recruited from scratch.

You can, most importantly - delicious!
Set the best (preferably less, but better) diverse if possible. Describe the objects of the portfolio in English (the most important features, tasks performed, complex solutions solved). Initially, try to create a good reputation for yourself (feedback). And under such conditions, everything should be ok. For customers, the quality/speed/price ratio is more important, and not the language in which your customers were before.
