Is it possible to watch videos via chromecast from sites like fs.ua or similar, through third-party players on the TV screen?
A few weeks ago, there was information in the news that the developers announced the free availability of a set of SDKs for the chromecast platform, in this regard, there was hope that the whistle would be more widely used than watching youtube and picasa.
And how are things with this device at the moment? Is it possible, for example, to watch videos via chromecast from sites like fs.ua or similar, through third-party players on the TV screen?

Well, when the site owners write plug-ins, you can watch anything.
So far, you can always stream the tab, though the quality is speed at the same time ...
It is important to understand here that on the side of the chromecast there is a stripped-down chrome, with the usual video tag. And it supports the appropriate codecs. Therefore, you can’t just take an example from KFOR and close up a client in 5 minutes. You will need to convert first the video, which is on most sites in proprietary codecs, on the fly.
fs.ua in the flash player below attaches a link to cdn.blabla/video.mp4 I don’t know how chromecast works, but it seems to help (in mobile phones, streaming "stream" works fine)
You can, only from a computer and using Chrome as a browser. You launch the video in the tab, select "Broadcast" in the Chrome menu, as the source - the tab.
Then in the player you select the full-screen view mode. Chrome then asks "Optimize streaming for Chromecast?". We answer "Yes" and that's it - there is a video from any site on the TV.
