Is it possible to use the user's IP address on the server to identify the location?

I am creating a weather widget for a Wordpress theme sold on themeforest.
I receive geodata (location of the provider's server) of the client by IP through the IPAPI service .
Will there be problems with IP, what does the policy generally say about this?

In the gadget settings panel, paste the api key setting. And let the buyer have a headache about accepting the agreement. You write in the description of the plugin that such and such a service is used and you need to get an api key.

You can use city selection, showing a mini-map and asking for a click to the approximate location where the user is located. After clicking, we display this section of the city with map data - weather.
This is the best variant.

Easier than easy...
Requests from Dedik can be tracked by sending a request to the owner of the IP, punching it, and seeing where the requests came from. And your IP is in hand.
