Is it possible to use Git (GitHub) for version control of Autocad and Word?

By type of activity (design of instrumentation and automation systems) it is necessary to compile projects from autocad (dwg) and word (doc / docx) files. All files are saved in pdf and arranged in folders by sections. At each stage, to check / send pdf files are glued into one.
Version control system "manual" - saving files with the current date in the title.
I would like to know,
1. is it possible to use git here without dancing with a tambourine
2. if not, what are the restrictions on using git
3. if not, are there any version control systems that can handle this task
4. if possible, which ones mana smoke
thanks in advance

Can!
But you won't be able to view specific changes as you can with text files.

Here, look what I found - it turns out you can . But this is about doc/docx. But the changes will be visible.

Now, if without pdf, then word itself allows you to display changes in the document (what was deleted, what was inserted), of course, not as transparent version control as git, but still.
But with pdf, the solution is most interesting.
