Is it possible to use a smartphone without a touchscreen?

There is my old smartphone "Digma iDxD5", which lacks a touchscreen, which broke and had to be thrown away. There is no time to search for a new one, and from the old one you need to get mail from a Google account that has been forgotten, but is very necessary.
The question may seem strange, but is it possible to somehow use a phone without a touchscreen?
I tried to connect a USB mouse through the "microUSB-USB" adapter, but it did not help.
Tell me, are there any other options for implementing the plan? Maybe programmatically, through a wire to it .. I don’t know, so I advise.
Thank you.

Can. But there are thousands of options and they are different for all phones. Someone does not host usb - it needs to be powered separately, someone has chipped wires in general (we've seen that too). Some do not know how through usb, but they can through the debug input / output. There is another option - through the debug i / o pump out the memory, unpack it there or flash it to the donor (donor of the body, ahem). There is another option, just connect via usb to the computer, turn it on and pull out the files as from usb. There are many options. If the mail is needed very and urgently, or there is simply no desire to understand everything, it's easier to just hand it over to the service. However, although an adequate service will not tear much, there are still few adequate services and a situation is very likely when restoring information will be more expensive than changing a sensor, and not much faster. But in general, there is no other way out.

As I understand it, the option with bluetooth keyboard and mouse is not considered due to the android version?

I use blackberry purely from the keyboard and trackpad, I ignore the touchscreen almost all the time. The bucket can also be connected to the bluetooth keyboard + mouse and used in the same way.
