Is it possible to upload simple html files to hosting?

There is an absolutely normal dist folder containing: img, css, index.html, js, fonts - everything. I did not want to bother with Php or Cms systems, so I uploaded the above files to the hosting in the form in which they are (only changed the paths). And, it seems like everything worked, the site connected css and js, uploaded pictures. Are there any negative consequences from such a fill? Do I understand correctly that cms and php are only needed, as a rule, for the admin panel and convenient site content management?

As a result, any code for the client is converted into static - html, css, js, pictures ... So yes, you definitely can)))

Of course you can, who's going to stop? Yes, it will not be "fashionable-stylish-youthful", but it will work ...

It is better to connect Svg through
And it is better that the sprite lies next to the main page.
