Is it possible to update php in ispManager?

I use vps with centos 6 with preinstalled ISPManager 5 lite. Outraged by why the 5th version is still the same ancient 5.3 2011 release! when php 7 is already on the way. I often noticed discussions on this issue on the forums, they say there is no sensible way to update php in conjunction with ispmanager. Perhaps there is a way to update? I'm at least 5.4.
