Is it possible to store a list of objects (list of hashes) in redis?

Good day.
1. Now I do this: I store the hash in the 'message:' keys, and the list in the 'messages' key. Maybe there is a more correct and beautiful way?
2. And is it possible to beautifully limit the length of the list? Now after adding I do ltrim.
