Is it possible to stack various modifications of the Cisco Catalyst 3650 switches?

Can I stack different models of Cisco Catalyst 3650 switches? For example, WS-C3650-12X48UR and WS-C3650-24TS? I read that it is possible, but the iOS version must be the same, is it?

Yes that's right. Switches with different letters on the tail are stacked without problems, provided that the OS versions match
