Is it possible to spread subfolders across different servers?

/dataThere is a folder with application data on the CentOS server . The data is divided into 256 subfolders with hexadecimal names from 00 to FF.
I added another server that takes care of half the calculations, and connected the data folder via NFS. Everything is fine, it works.
Is it possible somehow to physically transfer half of the subfolders (80-FF) to the second server so that with the so-called. both, the folder was still the same, where are all the subfolders 00-FF?

@sergiks

You transfer directories the way you want - half here, half there. On the first one, you create symlinks to the directories of the second one (network address), on the second one, vice versa, keeping the names. Everything, in principle, the task is completed.
