Is it possible to share users/groups for jabber servers?

I want to make a single user space inside several jabber servers located in branches. Those. when one jabber server is connected to another, shared-users,groups flow in both directions. And all users of one of the branches see all users from other branches.
Presumably, openfire will be used as a server.
Is this possible, if not, what kind of “crutches” can you come up with? Surely many people who made corporate Jabber had similar thoughts.

OpenFire has a regular Shared Roster.
We use it in several places, very successfully, but only single servers.
I suspect that if one user database (LDAP / AD) is used and OpenFire's have the same config, then this will visually be similar to the result you are looking for.
