Is it possible to set user.name and user.email in git to be different for a specific directory, and leave the global settings untouched?

At work, for good, you need to use your full name and corporate mail.
All projects from work are stored in one directory.
Is it possible to set separate user.name and user.email of the git for this directory and leave the global settings as you wish?
Thanks

Certainly. Local repository settings take precedence over global ones. Just install them without the global parameter.
