Is it possible to set up KDE the way I set up GNOME?
Is it possible in KDE to achieve something similar to what I have in gnome: hiding the bottom dash-to-dock, hiding the top panel with widgets and nothing more. No start, no widgets on the desktop. All applications are deployed to full screen without a single extra pixel of additional panels. Here's how I do it:
Or is it dancing with a tambourine? I've tried "login to KDE" a few times, but all these widgets are on the desktop, a windows-like start bar. Could not set up with a swoop.
It would seem, well, use your gnome further. But I've always been drawn to KDE. Somehow everything is done in a modern way. And the fonts render better, it seems. And it seems even smarter. The gnome has a completely buggy customization system and disgustingly buggy gnome extensions from the web 1.0 era.

You just don't know where to dig.
Top panel: standard, throw out the App Launcher through the settings and stick the necessary widgets, as well as set auto-hide.
Bottom panel: empty, set the desired width in the settings if you don’t like it in full screen, enable auto-hide and put Latte Dock (even Debian Sid has a packaged one and is only rotten for 2 months☺).
