Is it possible to separate the sounds of Windows 7/8 applications into different channels on a mixing console?
I want to make it so that each application can be hung on a separate channel on the mixing console and control the volume (or anything else) of a single application from the console. Is it possible to implement this on Windows 7 or 8?

I'm afraid not, because the PC sound card does not support this. And if a mixer with a built-in sound card (a pioneer or some kind of Allen) or a professional sound card is connected to a PC, then theoretically this is possible.
