Is it possible to send user-named alerts and invites via mobile SDK and RestAPI?

Notifications on behalf of the user as in FAPI.UI.showNotification. Invitations as in FAPI.UI.showInvite. If possible, please provide a link to the documentation for this functionality in your answer.
