Please stop confusing PLs, libraries-frameworks-SDKs and IDEs!
Android Studio is just a fancy notepad that doesn't provide any facilities for submitting requests at all. Just like eclipse, sublime and other text editors.
Functions, methods, and so on for android are either the Android SDK, or Java, or third-party libraries.
