Is it possible to sell a component through a private git repository?

Good day!
The question is quite simple, I did not swim in this topic, for personal information, to understand how it works.
There is a component that has two versions: one simple without features, the other with features, I want to monetize the component with features.
If we allow a simple component to be uploaded to a public repository for review, and then create a private repository with the full component code, will this be contrary to the rules of the github? In other words, modules / payment methods are on me, respectively, access to private by token, as I understand it, that is, after payment, the user receives a token (through my systems, respectively) and can clone the code for himself.
To sum up, once again, is such an approach possible? What are the risks? What are the alternatives, if you describe the pros and cons, I will be grateful, thank you.

Sure, but why is it so difficult?
Why does github have to be here?
The component code can be given as an archive.
You can create a private git repository on your server, moreover, you don’t even need to install anything special, you create git locally, upload your project there, create a user with rights and give access to ssh login (by key or password) to the buyer - the scheme is identical to the one that with github, no one needs to pay (personal projects on git - as far as I know, paid ones)
or you can ask the buyer for access to his server and upload the necessary code to his git
