Is it possible to select files in the transmission-daemon on Debian before downloading a torrent? I don't see such options in the web admin, and I didn't find them in transmission-daemon/settings.json either...

paused, opened the files tab in the download settings

In the web interface, after starting the download, pause the torrent, open (i) and uncheck unnecessary files there. See the screenshot below, there is an icon of files in the info on the right
