Is it possible to run Oracle RAC on virtual machines?
The documentation says: "Each node must have at least two network interface cards. One adapter is for the public network interface and the other adapter is for the private network interface (the interconnect)."
1. Is it possible on two physical machines (on each Hyper-V and virtual SLES12), to do (at least for the test) without additional network cards? After all all the same I create virtual interfaces. And please explain why RAC needs separate physical cards if the interfaces are in different grids and therefore should not interfere with each other ... (I mean, in an unloaded application, only for an installation test.)
2. Is it possible on one a physical machine with Hyper-V and two virtual SLES12 to run (for test) RAC?

Oracle cluster consists of several nodes/nodes. Each node is a separate server. Each server must have at least two network interfaces: one public and one interface for interconnect.
You also need a data store that is available to all nodes.
For the cluster to function correctly, a dns server configuration is required. The meaning of the configuration is that starting from version 11gR2, the oracle cluster uses the SCAN (Single Client Access Name) mechanism. The meaning of this feature is that all clients are once configured to access one hostname, which can be resolved to several ip-addresses using the dns server.
