Is it possible to reprogram the board?

enabled, is it possible to reconfigure the board so that the diodes show other functions

No. Where can you find documentation of what the chip is and how to program it?
It's easier to take a scarf with ATmega32u4 - there are plenty of examples for it. And if you understand the intricacies of USB-HID, you can make up to 32 standard indicators.

I remember in the distant 90s there was a program that blinked the keyboard LEDs. Well, by the name of the chip you can find the datasheet.
