You cannot change the bitness of the OS version without reinstalling it.

Without reinstalling it is so difficult that it can be considered impossible.
So you need to reinstall. For some reason, the most popular ways to start the installation from a USB flash drive and disk do not suit you. Next comes the network download. Also probably past.
Let's assume that we have only the currently used disk.
The option is good. There is a section on which you can stupidly write an image and upload it. For example SWAP or home.
We do this: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2/ISOBoot
We put it without touching the partition, then we return it to work.
The option is bad, the section needs to be created. Here I am perhaps a pass. How to cut off a piece from the root section without wild dances, I'll tell you.
PS There are options for knocking out a stool from under the working system, but this is too risky to do.

It’s impossible, the OS bit depth is not in windows, not in linux cannot be changed without a flash drive, for this you need a bootable flash drive with a distribution kit of the appropriate bit depth.
