as3 seems to have the same tag support as in as2, iframe definitely cannot be inserted into as2, but what about as3 that prevents you from experimenting? :)

TextField has an htmlText parameter, it supports some tags, but there is no full support in the browser player, if you make an AIR application, there is a StageWebView, which draws html content using the browser method.
