Is it possible to recover synced and lost bookmarks from Google Chrome?

Once, back in FF, I used Xmarks to synchronize bookmarks, when switching to Chrome, I transferred them with it. But then he abandoned it, because. Chrome has built-in sync. Everything was fine until Xmarks was updated on February 24th. Having updated, he quickly erased everything that was in chrome with his bookmarks, which were out of date for half a year - a year. And then - chrome itself also ruined my bookmarks on the second computer :(.
Tell me, is it possible to dig out my bookmarks from somewhere? Google does not keep a history of changes? Damn, they could ask a question when they see that several dozen bookmarks are being deleted!

I have a similar problem - I need to restore the bookmarks ...
Only my brother deleted them when I gave my laptop to him and did not stop the account synchronization :(
I put up with the lost bookmarks ... but there is one point - although there are no bookmarks - on the server in the account statistics - in theory, this link is shown not 0 bookmarks, but ~ 180 somewhere the same number I had them ...
and here there are two questions:
- the first one to contact to restore bookmarks that have not been deleted on the server, but do not want to be downloaded back.
- and the second - if you deleted the bookmarks - then why they were not deleted on the server (burned).
In general, in this case, not following the privacy policy can help me recover accidentally deleted 3 years of very useful materials.

It seems that the file with bookmarks is located at \Documents and Settings\your account\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Bookmarks. Restoring, probably, will not work, but for the future, backup this file, so that later you can throw it there.

I struggled with this problem for three days, and the solution turned out to be simple. First, I did everything as advised in all forums:
2. Go to the AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default folder of the user under which we are sitting in Windows.
3. We find a file called Bookmarks.bak - this is a backup storage file that Chrome makes after opening the program IF SOMETHING CHANGED IN BOOKMARKS. Also in this folder there is a file with the same name Bookmarks, but without the .bak extension - this is the main file in which the bookmarks are stored, it changes directly during the creation / deletion of bookmarks.
4. Next, go to the DELTUSER folder, which is located below the Default folder, and copy the bookmarks and bookmarks.bak files that we need so much !!!!! Then, in the Default folder, deleted the useless bookmarks and bookmarks.bak and inserted them from the DELTUSER folder . Moreover, all the bookmarks were restored exactly on the last date of the loss. It is strange that so far no one has written about this for so many years. Greedy?
