I had to transfer the domain from godaddy.com to gandi.net. Gandi is completely tired: very responsive support, there is not that abundance of spam that godaddy had to face, the control panel is extremely understandable, the function of hiding personal data in whois is free (godaddy would have to pay). In general - I liked it very much.

I don’t quite understand your question, you want to transfer the domain, because it’s expensive to pay for hosting, I don’t see the connection yet. A domain is one thing, hosting is another. If you need a normal free hosting , use Hostinger , change the DNS of the domain to those that will give a new hosting and that's it.
