I noticed such a, perhaps, a bad feature of my own that I can skip some chapter if it seems uninteresting and complicated to me, and if suddenly something seems complicated to me and there is a need for the previous, omitted chapter, I return to it. Is it bad?

I generally read from the last pages.
The same Knut recommends jumping through the chapters of his books as you please. And read them several times to get it right.
