Is it possible to monitor changes in the static files directory?

I am using copy-webpack-plugin to copy assets. However, when adding a new image for example, or deleting it, you have to rebuild it again so that the changes are displayed in the disk. Is there any way to make a watcher so that copy-webpack-plugin restarts itself?
