Monetization

Is it possible to monetize such a project?

For a long time and "for the soul" I have been running a site dedicated to games in one game universe (patches, mods, add-ons, news). I did the design myself, used Drupal for the engine, a free domain, and so on, in general, I never had any plans for the commercial component of the site.

The site really provides the content that it declares (that is, it is never a doorway), thanks to translations and rewrites, the uniqueness of the material is more than 70%, the site is very well seen and issued in the PS on requests related to its subject.

Recently (after the release of the next part of the game in the series), the site's traffic has increased dramatically (it used to be about 600/1400 unique/total visitors, now more than 2000/9000).

I would like to have at least some benefit from this, moreover legal (i.e. I do not intend to hang iframes, partrenki and pop-unders). For the sake of interest, I introduced Google AdSense and Sape. Almost no one clicks on Google, Sape gives a constant but extremely meager profit.

Is it possible to find target advertisers, or otherwise "monetize" the project?

Play around with Google Adsense placement. Now it is badly placed. Try it horizontally in the center of the screen under the header, at the end/content of the articles.

I see no reason to hang Sape on this site - there are zero puzomerki. Therefore, the income is low. Where did you get such high attendance numbers from? Can I have a screenshot?
