Is it possible to make WPF and WinForm friends with minimal effort?

Colleagues, good afternoon. The question is from the category "for dummies", but I really want to get competent advice.
There is an application on WinForms F3.5 (niche CRM), which has already completely outdated interface for several years of development. There is no way to switch to a web application now, but I want to "refresh" the design and make the system more user-friendly. Is it possible to develop such "pretty" controls on WPF and make them friends with the business logic of the application, without spending too much effort on it. By little effort, I mean the cost of design, layout, creating the WPF control itself, and making it interact with other controls on the form.

It all depends on the degree of govnokodistost writing what is now. Most likely, after trying to decorate the face, there will be an obsessive desire to redo everything from scratch, which will be mundane in terms and prices ...
A more or less realistic way is to make new ones and replace the old fairly autonomous molds with a new interface ...
