Is it possible to make the inline keyboard work even after the following message is displayed?

I use pyTelegramBotApi
I display an inline button to enable the bot to roll back to the previous step, and then a message with a proposal to enter data for the current step. Only now, of course, the inline button does not work after another message is displayed. Is it possible to make it work or is it fundamentally impossible?
