Is it possible to make money on Java games?

I am looking for advice from more knowledgeable people in this area, in general, the essence is -
I am a Java developer (or maybe worse), I have been writing in Java for about 3 years and I know only Java, LWJGL (OpenGL) in this area, well, there is a problem with money, I decided to make money with what I can, and of course all this on the Desktop ...
How can you make money at all? Which platforms are more cost-effective for this? What is the best place to start?

Now I found a team of people who did not have a programmer, and now I'm helping them make a visual novel, is it possible to monetize it somehow? If so, what platforms do you recommend?
Did I start in the right direction?

A Java developer writes code, and makes money by writing code, not by advertising and selling games. Forget about what you can earn just by writing code without a good business plan.

Go to a java developer's office and earn a salary.
To monetize, you need to do it. And you know how to write code. Combining both is highly unlikely. Especially if you're asking this on a toaster (so you have no ideas at all?)

Alone shoots 1 game out of a thousand at least. Without a business plan in gamedev, you can only rely on luck
