Is it possible to make Kindle recognize downloaded books as non-Items?
When loading books on kindle 6 - it recognizes them as "Elements" and not as books.
Is it possible to change this somehow, or at least manually transfer them to the "Books" category?

No. Books, according to Amazon, are bought from them, and all downloads are just documents.
