Is it possible to make calls from Asterisk through dial-up?

Hello! There is an old computer and Dial-up modem Acorp M-56IRW-2 . (If the modem does not fit, please advise some cheap one.) Is it possible to implement such a scheme (if yes, please provide links):

Most of all, calls between sip clients within the local network and receiving external everywhere are of interest.
If you drop calls outside, then you can should I use Asterisk as a local SIP server?

For some strictly defined modems, of course, there is a channel driver for the modem, but these are all crutches.
You need an FXO gateway
. Better yet, buy access from your provider via SIP - IAX - H323 and not go into analog.

Specifically, this modem supports voice, but there is no support in Dahdi.
It is theoretically possible to add support, but this end does not justify the means.
Modems on which chipsets are supported can be found here
. Even if you find the right one, setting up Dahdi is not an easy task. I join Armenian Radio - look for a gateway with FXO.
First, try to contact the operator. Most likely, he already has the opportunity to give this number via SIP.

Modems based on the Conexant chipset are NOT normally supported.

Look towards Eltex TAU... IMHO the most budgetary and comprehensible decision - not advertizing.
