Is it possible to make a regular site on node + express?

The question sounds a little strange, but having started to study the node and everything around it, I came to the conclusion that its best use is all sorts of rest api, single-page applications with a complex frontend on some kind of angular, etc. In this regard, the question arose - are node technologies and some framework (Express, sails) often used to create relatively standard sites such as online catalogs, online stores, forums, etc. (i.e. we generate html from the headers and return it to the browser) and does it even make sense?
UPD: I like the idea that JS is everywhere, I like mongo and mongoose. But from the point of view of the customer, the infrastructure, sporozhenie, and development time will be better somewhere on ready-made cms, somewhere on pop php frameworks, etc. From this point of view, node looks worse. What is the ultimate benefit of node? Or you can rephrase - how would you explain to the customer that it would be better this way?

I would look from the position of the customer. It’s cool, of course, to use a node, but what if someone has to finalize the site after you?
This will become a problem.
