Is it possible to make a network printer local?

Gentlemen - tell me plz
There is a narrow-profile software that perfectly sees the local printer and does not allow you to select a network one on the local network
On a Windows 7ka computer Tell me
- is it possible to say which thread of the software that would simulate the presence of a local printer and redirect requests to the network?

Thanks in advance

Use a Ghostscript virtual printer with redmon redirection. I recommend the Ghostscript+Ghostview+Redmon bundle as the simplest: you only need to specify a link to gsprint.exe in the port parameters and this:
-print "название принтера" -
Canon works best so far, using downloadable fonts by default and transferring TTF as a bitmap.

As an option - use doPDF to "print" to PDF (installs a virtual printer), then print it as you like, even send it by mail.

If we are talking about old DOS programs that print to the LPT port, then using the net use command you can connect any network printer to the LPT port.
I have several DOS programs that work that have no idea about network printers, everything works with a bang.

If the printer is, in principle, able to work locally, then simply install the driver and enter ip in the port tab. CHADNT?

So about the network printer or shared in a network?
Add printer as local, add port, local port
in the port name, enter the path to the ball (\\host\printer) - it will be as if local.
