Task: 1 database, 2 domains for 2 sites on 1 server. Is it possible to separate sites by creating 2 stores in OpenCart, taking into account the fact that they have the same design and different styles + different products and categories?
Let's clarify:
now I made 2 copies of the engine on different domains with 1 database. There may be problems if you create 2 stores and send 1 domain to another in the server settings, as a result - 1 copy of the engine, different products.

Why not create two stores, in two different folders, just with different database table prefixes?

The issue was resolved.
So, domain2 looks at domain1. Next, in the admin panel, create a new store with the "domain2" type. In the code where you need to delimit stores, there will be a condition like "if SHOP_TYPE == 1, then xxx". The base remains 1.
It was also extra. condition - from domain1 in the admin panel, goods are visible only for him, in from domain2 - only for him, this is also solved by adding a flag to the category table.
