Is it possible to install minecraft in a docker container?

The crux of the matter is this.
I want to install minecraft inside a docker container.
The scary thing is that on the minecraft server itself there may be lags and brakes due to the fact that it is inside the container.
Question: Do I understand correctly? Or will everything be smooth and not noticeable?
